A number of insurance providers have gone out of business or announced they are leaving the state. Jefferson Parish homeowners face soaring premiums as the Louisiana homeowners insurance crisis worsens due to increases in severe weather, multiple claims in low lying areas and increased construction costs.

The Jefferson Parish Homeowners Association highly recommends that BEFORE you hire a contractor for any contracting or repair work to check them out with the Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors.
